It’s been so long since I’ve posted anything that I’ve even forgotten how to do this. So, let’s start over, wont we?
I’m a researcher currently exploring how creating technology that serves humans first, can help businesses create better products.
I believe that technology is a powerful tool that can give us the ability to give access and ability to those who have historically been marginalized.
But if we would like to see technology enable this, it’s important that we start to prioritize a developing a product with the main aim of making the human experience better.
The way I’m tackling this is by seeking to understand the human, and the human experience. Secondly, I’m then looking at technology and the main objective we have for creating technology currently. I’m then looking at the intersection between these 2 points (human and technology), to find ways to create a technology that has the main objective of solving the human need.
Explanations have been the primary method I’ve studied for this.
Human-to-human connection is filled with explanations. We use them to bring clarity and understanding during engagements. We use them to enhance trust and empathy too. And interestingly enough, we can use very similar concepts and principles in technology to help us build a technology that users can trust more.
So, let’s get started then.
